Lino
Lino is a 1 year old, 9lb Maltese mix and comes into rescue as an owner-surrender with his brother, Gigi.
When Lino first arrived at his foster home, he was understandably nervous and made it known with a bit of barking but has since settled in very nicely. He is a sweet and loving boy who just wants to be close to his human. He's still very young and energetic, but when it's time to relax, he makes a great cuddle buddy.
Lino is peepad trained but his fosters are diligent about taking him out and teaching him to do his business outside. He's very smart and has been learning quickly. Lino is crate trained and sleeps in it through the night without issue. He doesn't love to be left alone—he'll make a bit of a fuss over it—but does eventually settle. However, if he does get to come along on an adventure, Lino does really well in the car and his happy to join you!
He's quite a playful boy and loves to go outside—playing out in the snow is probably his favourite. He walks very well on leash, although can be reactive to other dogs. We suspect he’s just a fearful little boy who would benefit from training. He’s a young guy so we believe with some work he can really improve his behaviour. He will only be available to families who are prepared to work with a trainer. He has not been tested with cats but he did live with a 6 year old, and has done well with children.
Lino is neutered, vaccinated and ready to find his forever home!
