Adopting with PPDR

Before adoption, all PPDR dogs are spayed/

neutered, receive age appropriate vaccines and are provided any additional vetting they may require. In dogs over the age of 1 year, 4DX is also included. The adoption fee for each of our dogs is $975.00.

All puppies receive their first two rounds of vaccinations and go through at least three rounds of deworming. The adopters are responsible for the last round of vaccinations.

Fill Out & Submit an Adoption Application

If one of our available dogs catches your eye and you would like to know more, please fill out an application for them through our website. Please be patient as it can take up to 2-3 weeks to hear back from us with regard to your application!

Telephone Interview

If we think you are a good fit for the dog of your interest, or perhaps another dog in our care, we will contact you via phone call and get to know you a little bit better. We want to ensure we are finding the best match for our dogs and potential adopters!

3

Vet Check

If you've had a previous relationship with a veterinarian, we ask that you let them know that we will be contacting them for a brief phone call. We like knowing that the dog will be well looked after if they ever become ill or injured.

4

Virtual or In-Person Home Check

Next, we'll do a quick check of your home—which can be done virtually—just to make note of any potential dangers to your dog (i.e. a hole in the backyard fence).

5

Meet & Greet

At this point, you get to meet your future best friend! We'll arrange a date and time with you to spend up to an hour with the dog that you're interested in. This allows for you to observe the dog's character, temperament and demeanour as well as ask any questions you may have. After the meet and greet, we encourage adopters to go home and sit on the experience, discuss amongst each other and ensure that they'd like to move forward with the adoption.

Your Dog Comes Home!

Congratulations! Your dog is now ready for you to bring them home. At the time of adoption, we'll go over forms, fees and tips and any additional info will be provided. And if you have any questions for us after you've brought your new family member home, we're always happy to help!
