Pinot is a 2 year old ShihTzu and is a sweet little guy that's really coming out of his shell. He really takes everything in stride and not much phases him.

 

Pinot is very neutral around every dog he meets, is good with cats (though may chase them if they run), loves kids, and is great with people. He seems a bit unsure with men but nothing major and will certainly gain confidence with positive exposure.

 

Pinot loves his walks and does well on leash. He is learning to accept his crate and is getting better with routine. He seems to have a sensitive tummy so it is best to limit treats but kibble is a perfect alternative. Pinot is doing really well in terms of house training; he had a couple accidents in the beginning but has since figured things out and does his business outside.

Pinot was also brave and took a dip in the lake while in foster care! He doesn't seem to swim well but is happy to be able to cool off. He may really enjoy it with a life jacket!

 

He barks at things that surprise him but positive reinforcement seems to be helping. All this little guy wants is to be with you so he would do well with an adopter that works from home but it will be important to be careful of separation anxiety.​

Pinot still requires some vetting so he will not be ready to be adopted just yet, but we are accepting applications on him now.
