Lucky is a 2 month old Labrador mix and came into rescue with his mom, Bean, and sister, Juna. He is a Northern dog coming to us all the way from Manitoba!

Lucky is just an absolute character and so much fun. He loves to play, both with his toys and other dogs, and is learning how to be a respectful little pup. He's quite a social guy and is happy to meet anyone, especially if it involves treats and a scratch on the bum. He's also incredibly smart and is already starting to learn basic commands like "sit".

Potty training is also going very well—he will pee almost immediately on the grass when taken outside every couple of hours. There have been a few accidents in the house (he's only 2 months old, after all!) but most have been on the provided peepad. 

​

Lucky also does very well in the car and will settle right into his carrier for the drive. He doesn't love his crate, especially at bedtime, but is slowly learning to accept it. With consistency, we're confident he will grow to see it as his safe space.

​

He is currently being fostered with another small dog and has made plenty of friends, so he does well with other dogs. Lucky has not been tested with children or cats but we don't have any concerns and believe he would do fine with both.

 

Lucky still requires some vetting so he will not be ready to be adopted just yet, but we are accepting applications on him now.
