Koda

Koda is a young, energetic dog looking for a young, energetic forever home!

She is super obedient and comes when she is called; she just really wants you to be proud of her. Koda is very smart so she catches on quickly and once she knows what you want, she'll try to predict it. She is super snuggly and her favourite spot will be on the couch with you. Koda is 100% housetrained and crate trained.

Koda gets very excited when her foster mom comes home or wakes up, so we are working on getting her to relax and calm down before greeting her. She also loves to do EVERYTHING fast. She eats fast; she runs, doesn't walk. Her foster is making great progress on controlling the energy but Koda will need a home with a family that knows how to be the leader so that she feels safe and secure.

She loves her foster brother. They like to wrestle all the time. Koda knows how to take breaks when they need it and shows appropriate body language. Sometimes she will try to guard her toys and steal her brother's treats but she is easily corrected and just needs a reminder to share. If introduced slowly, Koda can get along well with other dogs.

Koda cannot be in a home with young children. Anyone who moves fast (like a child) scares her and she will bark out of fear. She has met cats and likes them but still really wants to chase them so a house without cats would be best. Her forever family should have lots of dog experience and taking her to training will help her learn to be a more confident dog.
