Juliette

Juliette is a 1 year old, Pomeranian mix and is an absolute sweetheart. She was very timid and afraid when she first arrived but has quickly made herself comfortable in her foster home.

Juliette is a sweet little girl. She just wants love and attention and a good belly rub. She's very playful, both with her toys and with other dogs she's comfortable with; but she can be just as content to sit next to you on the couch, munching on a treat.

Juliette walks very well on leash and usually sticks right next to you. Loud noises and strange dogs walking by will frighten her but she's been getting used to her environment and her confidence has been growing. We are working on her potty-training—she's had a few accidents in the house but she is slowly learning how to signal to let us know she has to go out.

We have been working on her crate training as well. She wasn't too happy about it at first but now goes to sleep in her crate each night without a peep. She also does very well in the car—she lays in her crate so quietly, you'd almost forget she was there!

Juliette is very smart and eager to please. In the short while she's been with her foster, she's learned her "sit" and "come" commands, and is even learning some party tricks, like "spin"! She can be picky about her treats but if you find one that she loves, Juliette engages happily in her training sessions.

Juliette has proven to be a very polite and easy-going girl. She's currently being fostered with another small dog and is doing very well—they get along great. New people make her nervous but so long as she's given the space to greet them on her own terms, she warms up quickly. Once she trusts her person, she becomes your little shadow in no time at all but has shown some signs of separation anxiety, so her adopter should continue to work on her confidence. She has not been tested with cats or children but we believe she would do fine with them.

Juliette is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and we are accepting applications on her now.
