Daisy

**We are happy to say that Daisy has an adoption pending. Due to the overwhelming amount of amazing applications received for Daisy, we were not able to contact everyone that applied.  Please note: we do have more small breed dogs coming in the next few weeks, so please keep a lookout on our website for updates.**

Daisy is a 10 month old Yorkie mix and has come into rescue as an owner-surrender. Although initially terrified and nervous, she's been slowly opening up and coming out of her shell in her new foster home.

Daisy is a playful, adorable girl. She absolutely loves her walks and they're a good way for her to expend some of that puppy energy. She does very well on leash and walks nicely beside her person.

Daisy is doing very well with potty training and has only had a couple of accidents in the beginning of foster care. She now knows how to signal that she needs to go out and it has not been a problem since. Daisy is also doing well in her crate and sleeps comfortably in it through the night.

She loves to chew on a Kong or a Yak Chew to keep herself occupied but is always happy to get into play. Daisy is being fostered with another dog in the home who is a senior, and she remains gentle and respectful. If her foster sister gives her a warning, Daisy listens. She's also done really well with larger dogs and would be good in a home with another dog to build her confidence. She has not been tested with cats or children but we believe she could do well with both.

On meeting new people, Daisy may growl as a sign of discomfort but if she's given her space and allowed to meet the person at her own pace, Daisy's anxiety eases and she warms right up. She's super cuddly on the couch and if she trusts you, will snuggle right up against you to relax.

Daisy would do well in a home with an adopter that is home more often than not. She's still a puppy and learning to be more confident, so we encourage training classes and having her regularly socialized.

Daisy is up-to-date on vaccines but still needs to be spayed before adoption; however, we are accepting applications on her now.

If you're interested in learning more or adopting Daisy, please fill out and complete an application.
